IDG berättar att SGI lanserar superdator som tjänst på nätet:
"Cyclone är namnet på den tjänst som SGI lanserat, särskilt anpassad för tekniskt beräkningsarbete. Tjänsten som SGI även hänvisar till som ett hpc-moln (High Performance Computing Cloud) tillgängliggörs på två olika sätt: Dels som fullständig tjänst där användaren hyr färdiga tillämpningar, dels som infrastrukturtjänst där kunden har egen mjukvara och som vill komma åt SGIs högpresterande system."

Redan finns applikationer klara inom för superdatorer alla vanliga områden. När det gäller datamining finns ONT inom ontology trevligt förklarat i Wikipedia:
